About our Prints

We use one of the best inkjet printers on the market to provide high quality prints equivalent to glicées.

The Canon Pixma Pro 9000.

Beautiful, long-lasting prints.  Taos Ski Valley of the Trees

The PIXMA Pro9000 Photo Printer along with the ChromaLife100 system combines the benefits of select genuine Canon dye-based inks, select Canon photo papers and FINE print head technology to create long-lasting, beautiful prints. This 8-color dye ink system produces a wide color gamut, and achieves the vivid coloration and high glossiness that may have been missing with other conventional photo printers.

As one Amazon user puts it: “…the new dye based inks used in the 9000 are solid for over 100 years in storage, and over 30 years on display. That beats old fashioned “chrome” prints to near death. The new dyes also offer beautiful “visual impact” that many pigment printers still lack. Dark shadow areas remain clean as well, and do not suffer from “brassing” where pigment piles up, and changes the sheen of the paper surface.”

Another reviewer complained: “But the biggest drawback to the Pro9000 is image quality. Looking at these gorgeous 13x19s we know we’re just going to spend a small fortune at the frame shop and, right after bringing them home, be calling our real estate agent to see if there are any small mansions with a lot of wall space going for a song — or a set of prints. That’s probably all it would take!” http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRINT/CP9K/CP9KA.HTM
